Is Holden a typical teenager?
I believe Holden is just a normal teenager that is just passing thoriugh rough times. Although he may seem a bit irresponsable, angry, and lazy, all of this is part of growing up and its a process which every sigle person goes through. One thing that I do think that is not normal about him is that he has low self-esteem, like when he said “Im the most terrific liar you¨ll ever see” p. 16. Poor Holden´s just been through a lot lately and at such a young age, what he´s been through is something no one would want for them to happen but in the end it is what makes you a stronger person. Trust me Holden is taking this whole situation in a good way, if my brother died I would have just collapsed, I wouldn´t be able do do anything, Id be devastated. For me Holden is just trying to build up his life again and the thing about the grades is normal that he is not interested in his classes if what he likes is writing, why would he want to leran science or stuff like that? For me Holden is prefectly normal.
Ernest Hemingway
Harlem Renaissance
1. Fats Waller: was an influential jazz pianist, organist, composer, singer, and comedic entertainer, whose innovations to the Harlem stride style laid the groundwork for modern jazz piano, and whose best-known compositions, “Ain’t Misbehavin‘” and “Honeysuckle Rose“, were inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame posthumously, in 1984 and 1999.
2. was a cultural movement that spanned the 1920s. At the time, it was known as the “New Negro Movement”, named after the 1925 anthology by Alain Locke. The Movement also included the new African-American cultural expressions across the urban areas in the Northeast and Midwest United States affected by the Great Migration (African American),[1] of which Harlem was the largest. Though it was centered in the Harlem neighborhood of New York City, in addition, many francophone black writers from African and Caribbean colonies who lived in Paris were also influenced by the Harlem Renaissance.

Song lyrics
* EMERSON:
Ooo ooo ooo
Ooo ooo ooo
Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
And the dreams that you dream of
Once in a lullaby
Oh somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
And the dreams that you dream of
Dreams really do come true
Someday I’ll wish upon a star
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where trouble melts like lemon drops
High above the chimney tops
That’s where you’ll find me
Oh somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
And the dreams that you dare to
Oh why, oh why can’t I?
Well, I see
Trees of green and red roses too,
I’ll watch them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself,
What a wonderful world.
Well I see,
Skies of blues and, clouds of white,
And the brightness of day, I like the dark
And I think to myself,
What a wonderful world.
The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people passing by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They’re really saying I… I love you.
I hear babies cry, I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more than we know
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world.
Oh someday I’ll wish upon a star
Wake up where the clouds are far behind
Where trouble melts like lemon drops
High above the chimney tops
That’s where you’ll find me
Oh somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
And the dreams that you dare to
Why, oh why can’t I, I?
Ooo ooo ooo
Ooo ooo ooo
Ooo, ah ah
* in this song the man becomes one with nature, and is amazed by it, just as in the poem nature.
My Favorite song
When I was just a little baby boy,
my momma used to tell me these crazy things
She used to tell me my daddy was an evil man,
she used to tell me he hated me
But then I got a little bit older
and I realized, she was the crazy one
But there was nothing I could do or say to try to change it
cause that’s just the way she was
They said I can’t rap about being broke no more
They ain’t say I can’t rap about coke no more
(AH!) S*ut, you think I won’t choke no w*ore
’til the vocal cords don’t work in her throat no more?!
(AH!) These motherf***ers are thinking I’m playing
Thinking I’m saying the s*it cause I’m thinking it just to be saying it
(AH!) Put your hands down bi**h, I ain’t gonna shoot you
I’ma pull +YOU+ to this bullet, and put it through you
(AH!) Shut up s*ut, you’re causing too much chaos
Just bend over and take it like a s*ut, OK Ma?
“Oh, now he’s raping his own mother, abusing a w*ore,
snorting coke, and we gave him the Rolling Stone cover?”
You god damn right B**CH, and now it’s too late
I’m triple platinum and tragedies happen in two states
I invented violence, you vile venomous volatile bit*hes
vain Vicadin, vrinnn Vrinnn, VRINNN! [*chainsaw revs up*]
Texas Chainsaw, left his brains all
dangling from his neck, while his head barely hangs on
Blood, guts, guns, cuts
Knives, lives, wives, nuns, sl*ts

2. Repeated Words: more, me, on, ain´t, you
3. Interpret what the song means to you: The song talks about the singer´s tough childhood and the way his mom treated him. He is just expressing what he feels after all those years.
4. How does the repetition and rhyme enhance the songs meaning?: The rhyme makes you understand better the song. Also the words used for the song casually go with the story
THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER
1. Roderick Usher was a pale man, he had a delicate hebrew nose, and beautifyl lips. He was actually by the description a handsome man. He seemed to be a nervous man. When he was talking to the narrator his voice was trembling and he was very anxious too. Madeline Usher was full of apathy, she was a lonely person because of her disease. She was also very conservative.
2. They bothare similar to the house in a was that Madeline was lonely, like the house which seemed abandoned. Roderick in the other hand was nervous and anxious, this made the narrator feel like something was wrong, it made him feel uncomfortable, just like when he first arrived to thehouse.
